The inspiration to start Woolgro came from conversations with friends where we had all tried other lawn products on the market with little success and thought there must be an easier way to achieve a great lawn that would stay looking good without heaps of work.
That’s when the concept that became Woolgro was born. Wouldn’t it be great to have an all natural lawn made from a waste product that New Zealand has heaps of? Dag wool has been used by organic gardeners for generations and no wonder as it has the perfect blend of nutrients to sustain plant growth.
Created and manufactured in New Zealand using good old Kiwi ingenuity
It is important to us that our products are New Zealand made so our manufacturing plant is right here in New Zealand. With the help of the clever Engineer Dad, we have taken some very classic carding machinery and designed and built a few clever new machines. Just like our products, our machinery blends elements tried and tested from the past with some good new ideas combined with Kiwi ingenuity.
Now we can produce a high-quality grass seed mat blended with ideal fibres, with just the right amount of seed, in just the right place.
